By Chance

Ever so slowly, with the passage of time
I see with my eyes, feel with
my heart, that you are
truly mine
But time took us long, and long we
need to know the real touch
of skin not words of what is
within, yes, maybe a sin in thought
be real in desire, yet desire has
bought us to where we now
touch with heart and soul
the deepest recesses of what
we believe that truly brought us
together, and together we find our way
Past the skattered remains of what was
Building anew from lessons
learned of the pain of the past
and with all intent we do pray
together every night
this will last

Pages

At mid life I pause
to flip through the pages of my life
The memory book hidden away
The flashbacks to the first love, first kiss,
the heartache.
The laughter and tears forgotten by the many
days gone by.
The pages of my life that shaped me,taught me
who I am.
The memories of the joy and sorrow, decisions
good and bad.
So many pages to be filled from the days yet to come.
At lifes end I shall pause once more
to flip though the pages
Remembering love,laughter,and joy.

Those Eyes

As I look into those eyes
I see
gentleness
those eyes speak volumes
the passion within
laughing, caring
those eyes that
make me feel at peace
Understanding the pain,
frusrations,doubts
those eyes that tell me
you care
that you are there
that you are real in heart and
soul

Exposed

You ask who I am
and many times I have
shown you
you keep your eyes closed
to the facts.
I have shown you my heart
my soul, yet you refuse
to see
You want words to describe
my being,
you want explainations of why I am
If you’d only open your eyes
you would see
totally exposed
who I am.
